He knew not where he came from, and at first, who he was. All he knew was that he had no recollection of his past, present, or future. He had bandages on his arms and head where he had struck the car, for shortly after appearing confused on the Michigan freeway; he had been hit by one. The police had found no identification, no relatives to tell who he was. So he had been placed in a temporary home at the local juvenile center.
